How it Works

Are you a parent, nanny, or grandparent hoping to build a strong, joyful relationship with the child in your care?

At Montessori Makers at Home, we offer personalized Montessori coaching that guides you in using gentle, respectful strategies every day. Whether you're new to Montessori or looking for extra support, our sessions help you decide when to step in, how to handle big emotions, and how to encourage your child’s curiosity and learning. You’ll leave each session feeling more confident and with clear ideas to try at home. Over time, this clarity and consistency can transform family life into a calmer, happier experience for everyone.

Who Benefits from Montessori Coaching?

Whether you're a parent, nanny, or grandparent, our coaching meets you where you are. We work with caregivers of toddlers, preschoolers, and even older children to create a consistent, nurturing approach. A nanny might want guidance aligned with the parents’ values; a parent may seek strategies for smoother daily routines; a grandparent could refresh their approach while honoring a child’s independence. No matter your role, you’ll learn practical techniques to use every day and join a community of Montessori-minded caregivers.

Why Montessori?

Many caregivers find that adding simple Montessori activities makes learning fun and natural. For example, you might help a child paint a cardboard car — not just for fun, but as a lesson in creativity, coordination, and cooperation. Our coaching will show you how everyday moments like this become rich learning experiences. You’ll learn to set up a prepared environment with engaging materials and step in only when needed. Over time, both you and your child will enjoy a calm, purposeful space that fosters independence and confidence.

Montessori is all about respecting each child’s curiosity and pace, not rushing them through tasks. Our coaching helps you learn to observe and gently guide — not hurry or criticize — as the child explores. These techniques help kids feel trusted and capable, and they free caregivers to feel calm, connected, and empowered.

What Does Coaching Cover?

Our Montessori caregiver coaching focuses on practical support you can use right away. In each session, we help you:

  • Offer appropriate help: Learn to step in with guidance when your child needs it and step back when they can try things independently.

  • Respond to challenges: Handle tantrums, frustration, and other struggles with calm, respectful strategies.

  • Understand behavior: Decode your child’s cues and needs so you can respond with empathy instead of guesswork.

  • Support learning at home: Set up a child-friendly space and introduce activities that build skills and curiosity in everyday life.
Each of these topics is tailored to your family’s unique situation, making it easier to apply Montessori ideas in your home.

Clarity, Consistency, and Confidence

By the end of your coaching journey, you’ll notice three big changes:

  • Clarity: You’ll clearly understand what your child needs and how Montessori methods apply to daily life — no more guesswork.

  • Consistency: Caregivers in your family will follow the same approach. Consistent routines and responses give your child security and trust.

  • Confidence: You’ll feel ready to handle any challenge. With each session, you’ll gain more tools and reassurance to guide your child with ease.

Taken together, these gains transform daily routines and bring peace of mind to the whole family.

Coaching Packages & Schedule

We offer flexible coaching packages in increments of 6 or 12 months. Each package includes one-hour sessions every two weeks (biweekly), so you get ongoing guidance and support. Choose the package that fits your needs:

  1. 6-Month Package: 12 sessions (one hour each), perfect for focusing on specific goals or transitions.

  2. 12-Month Package: 24 sessions for deeper, ongoing support and sustained progress.

Sessions are usually held online at times that fit your schedule. In each session, we review your current questions, plan strategies, and set clear next steps. Over the weeks and months, this steady support helps everyone stay consistent and celebrates your family’s progress.
